What if becoming the woman you’re meant to be has less to do with changing who you are… and more to do with finally choosing to fully be her?
In this episode of Be The Change You Need, Tara reflects on one of Dolly Parton’s most powerful pieces of wisdom:
“Find out who you are and do it on purpose.”
It’s a simple sentence, but it holds so much truth about authenticity, identity, and what it means to consciously create a life that actually feels like yours.
Tara shares what it looks like to stop looking outside of yourself for permission and begin getting curious about the woman looking back at you. She also explores the power of mirror work, intentionally meeting yourself with love, and why being able to look yourself in the eyes and genuinely say, “I love you,” can become such a meaningful part of healing your relationship with yourself.
This episode is an invitation to know yourself more deeply, honor who you are becoming, and begin showing up as that woman on purpose.
Because authenticity isn’t something you perform.
It’s something you embody.
And the more you choose to see, love, honor, and trust yourself, the more your life begins to reflect the woman you truly are.
🎙️ Listen, reflect, and come back next week as Tara takes this conversation even deeper into what it means to claim your identity and intentionally live as her.

What if the reason something hasn’t fully changed yet isn’t because you don’t want it badly enough… but because a part of you still isn’t ready to receive it?
In this episode, Tara explores the connection between healing, limiting beliefs, identity, and our ability to create something different in our lives. She shares the story of a woman who is still living emotionally behind something that happened nearly 50 years ago, and how powerful it can be to recognize when an old experience is still shaping the way we see ourselves today.
Because wanting change and being available for change are two very different things. Sometimes we say we want more love, more success, more freedom, more peace, or a completely different life, while beliefs and patterns from the past are still influencing what feels safe, possible, or available to us.
In this episode, Tara also briefly shares insight inspired by Jason Lennox’s book and talks about why healing requires willingness. Awareness is important, but there comes a point when we have to decide whether we are ready to release what we have been carrying and make room for something new.
You’ll also hear more about Tara’s Soul Medicine Healing Sessions and how both virtual and in-person sessions are designed to help uncover emotional patterns, limiting beliefs, and energetic imprints that may be affecting what you allow yourself to receive.
If you’ve been asking yourself why a certain goal, desire, or outcome still feels just out of reach, this episode will invite you to look at a deeper question:
Are you truly open to receiving what you say you want?
Healing begins with awareness. Receiving begins with willingness.

What happens when you realize you’ve been spending your energy trying to control something that was never yours to control?
In this deeply personal, completely off-script episode, Tara shares a realization that came through while recording: she had been standing on what she calls the island of no control — focused on judgment, other people’s opinions, and how others might respond to her work as a psychic, medium, intuitive, and healer.
And in doing that, she was holding herself back from the one place where she actually does have power: her own island.
The place where she gets to choose whether she shows up, speaks her truth, follows God’s guidance, honors her gifts, and participates fully in the life she feels called to live.
In this episode, Tara explores what it means to surrender what was never yours to manage and come back to what is: your choices, your boundaries, your actions, your truth, your identity, and your willingness to answer the calling on your life.
This is a conversation about authenticity, faith, visibility, and the freedom that comes when you stop organizing your life around how other people may perceive you.
Because surrender isn’t giving up your power.
It’s releasing what you were never meant to control so you can finally take full ownership of what you can.

What would change in your life if you trusted yourself enough to honor what feels right for you?
Creating a life you love begins with the relationship you have with your own voice. It grows through the choices you make, the truth you express, and the moments when you allow your inner knowing to guide you.
In this episode, Tara explores how authenticity, identity, and self-trust work together to shape the life you experience. She shares how every aligned choice strengthens the identity of the woman who trusts herself, honors her desires, and leads her life from within.
Inside this episode, you’ll discover:
How outside opinions can quietly influence your decisions
Why self-trust is built through consistent, authentic choices
How your everyday actions reinforce your identity
Why confidence often grows after you begin honoring yourself
How to recognize the next choice that feels true for you
Authenticity is allowing your outer life to reflect what is true within you. Every time you honor your needs, preferences, desires, and inner knowing, you create greater clarity and a deeper connection with yourself.
You are allowed to evolve. You are allowed to want something different. You are allowed to build a life that feels honest, fulfilling, and fully yours.
The life you love begins when you decide that your truth deserves to help create it.

What if the healing you've been searching for isn't waiting in another book, another course, or another breakthrough...what if it's waiting in your voice?
So many women have learned to read the room before they read themselves. They've become experts at keeping the peace, meeting expectations, and saying what feels safest. Over time, that pattern becomes familiar, and slowly, they lose connection with the one person they were never meant to abandon - themselves.
In this episode, Tara explores why speaking your truth is one of the most healing things you can do for your mind, your body, and your spirit. She shares how self-expression transforms more than your relationships - it changes your nervous system, rewires your brain, strengthens self-trust, and creates the inner alignment needed to build a life that genuinely feels like your own.
Together, you'll explore:
Why your body holds onto what your voice doesn't express.
How childhood conditioning shapes the way you communicate as an adult.
The science behind why speaking your truth literally rewires your brain.
How authentic expression strengthens your intuition, confidence, and self-trust.
Simple ways to begin expressing yourself with clarity, courage, and compassion.
Your voice isn't simply a way to communicate.
It's a way to reconnect with yourself.
And every time you choose honest expression over self-abandonment, you're creating a life that feels lighter, freer, and more aligned with who you truly are.
Because healing doesn't begin when life changes.
Healing begins the moment you stop hiding from your own truth.

For years, I believed the woman staring back at me in the mirror was the reason my life wasn't changing.
At 338 pounds, I thought the answer was to become someone different. I believed that if I criticized myself enough, pushed harder, or finally became "better," then everything else would fall into place.
I was wrong.
In this episode, I share the unexpected lesson that transformed not only my weight-loss journey, but every area of my life: lasting change doesn't begin with self-criticism—it begins with self-acceptance.
We'll explore why accepting your current reality isn't the same as settling for it, and why making peace with who you are today creates the foundation for becoming who you're meant to be tomorrow.
You'll discover:
Why self-rejection keeps you trapped in the very patterns you're trying to escape.
The difference between accepting yourself and giving up on yourself.
How self-compassion, healthy boundaries, and radical honesty create lasting transformation.
Why your identity can only expand from a place of acceptance—not shame.
A simple journaling exercise to help you begin shifting the relationship you have with yourself.
If you've ever felt like you're constantly trying to "fix" yourself, this conversation is your invitation to stop fighting who you are and start building a relationship with the woman who's been there all along.
Because healing doesn't begin the day you become someone else.
It begins the day you finally decide you're worthy of love exactly as you are.
And from that place...
Everything changes. 💛

With the Fourth of July approaching, I've been thinking a lot about the word freedom.
Not just the freedom we celebrate as a country, but the kind of freedom we create within ourselves.
In this episode, I share the unexpected lesson I learned while preparing our newly purchased motorhome for our annual family camping trip. While the motorhome itself is exciting, it wasn't the purchase that impacted me the most - it was realizing that I had become the woman who was willing to make it happen.
For years, anything involving money, banks, or applying for a loan filled me with fear. It wasn't that I believed I wasn't capable. Fear simply took over, and I found myself resisting the process whenever I could. This time was different. I made the phone calls, gathered the paperwork, asked the questions, and followed through from beginning to end. When it was all done, I realized something that stopped me in my tracks: healing isn't always measured by how you feel... sometimes it's measured by what no longer has power over you.
As I continued preparing for our camping trip while supporting one son through a difficult season, helping another recover from an emergency appendectomy, and navigating life's unexpected twists, I found myself reflecting on why life can sometimes feel chaotic right after we've experienced a breakthrough.
In this episode, we explore why true freedom isn't found when life finally calms down. It's found when fear, limiting beliefs, and old emotional patterns no longer get to decide how we show up.
If you've ever wondered whether you're really growing, or you've questioned why life can feel messy just as you're beginning to change, I hope this conversation reminds you to pause and recognize the quiet evidence of your own transformation.
Because sometimes the greatest breakthrough isn't something you accomplish.
It's realizing you're no longer the woman you used to be. 💛

Why does becoming your authentic self feel so uncomfortable at first?
If you've ever started setting boundaries, speaking your truth, choosing yourself, or stepping into a new version of yourself only to be met with guilt, fear, self-doubt, or discomfort, this episode is for you.
In today's heartfelt conversation, Tara explores why personal growth often feels unsettling before it feels freeing. She shares how our nervous system becomes attached to what is familiar, why people-pleasing and self-abandonment can feel safer than authenticity, and how to navigate the discomfort that comes with becoming who you were always meant to be.
Inside this episode, you'll learn:
• Why authenticity can feel uncomfortable before it feels empowering• How your current identity may be keeping you stuck• Why growth often requires letting go of old versions of yourself• The difference between discomfort and misalignment• How to build self-trust while stepping into a new chapter of your life
If you've been feeling called to stop shrinking yourself, stop living for everyone else's expectations, and reconnect with the woman underneath the conditioning, this episode will remind you that discomfort is often a sign that you're growing—not that you're doing something wrong.
Because becoming yourself isn't about creating someone new.
It's about remembering who you've been all along.

In this heartfelt solo episode, Tara dives deep into the fear of change and why so many of us cling to what feels familiar - even when it’s no longer aligned with who we’re becoming.
She explores how our need for control, certainty, and emotional safety often keeps us stuck in cycles of fear, self-protection, and resistance. Through powerful perspective shifts, personal insight, and emotional truth, Tara shares how healing your inner world changes the way you experience your outer world.
This episode is a reminder that not every painful season is punishment. Sometimes life is guiding you toward something greater than you could currently imagine.
Inside this conversation, Tara discusses:• Why change feels so terrifying to the nervous system• How our thoughts, beliefs, and emotional patterns shape our experiences• The connection between fear, control, and suffering• Why healing changes the reality we create for ourselves• Learning to trust that what’s meant for your highest good will unfold in time• Letting go of what you THINK you need so life can show you what truly aligns
If you’re navigating uncertainty, identity shifts, endings, or emotional growth right now… this episode will feel like a deep exhale for your soul.
Because sometimes the life you’re meant for begins the moment you stop resisting change and start trusting yourself through it.
